Common Name: Santa Isabel Dart Frogs, Anthony’s Poison-Arrow Frog
Scientific Name: Epipedobates anthonyi
Adult size: Up to 1 inch with males being smaller than females. 

Size when shipped:

• Well established froglets approximately nickel-sized.

Lineage: Captive-bred.

Defining Traits

• Keeper level: Intermediate
• Temperament: Active and bold with a “chirping” call.
• Physical appearance: While slight color variations are possible, they are generally chocolate brown or a deep, maroon red with bright neon striping. 
• Biological niche: Diurnal, terrestrial, found near ponds and streams. 
• Native Range: Native to Ecuador.
• Group housing: They can be kept in groups with an even male to female ratio.

• 12x12x12 for a single frog and 18x18x18 for groups of 4

• Deep leaf litter, live plants, cork, and lots of microhabitats are strongly recommended

Temperature

• 65F - 80F
• 70F is the ideal temperature. 85F and over can be potentially fatal.

Humidity

• 70% ambient humidity with spikes up to 100%.

Diet

• Adults can be fed flightless fruit flies dusted with supplements. Newly morphed Santa Isabels should be fed springtails.
