What is the order processing time after I place my order?
Our current processing time is listed at the top of the website in the green banner. The shipping quote at checkout does not include this time, and we ask that all customers plan their order placements accordingly to ensure they receive their packages in a timely manner. At this time, we do not offer expedited shipping options or rush orders!
Custom PVC Kages enclosures are 2-4 weeks out after your order is placed. They will ship flat to your shipping address inputted at checkout after the allotted time frame.
**Clean Up Crews and other live animal shipments do not follow this timeline and are shipped out on Wednesdays to ensure a smooth delivery before the weekend. If you will not be home to receive them on the following days, please reach out to our Customer Care team to schedule a different shipping date. Currently, we do not ship live animals Thursday-Sunday. They are shipped separately from the rest of your order.
Do you offer a Military or First Responder discount?
We sure do! The Bio Dude is proud to offer 10% off Bio Dude branded products to all members of the armed forces, police, EMTs, and firefighters. We also extend our gratitude to those who dedicate their lives to educating others for the future. Teachers also receive a special 10% discount code.

Do you ship internationally?
Your support is very much appreciated, but at this time, we do not ship internationally. We are working very hard on all the logistics and paperwork required to do so, so this will take us a while. You are more than welcome to join our Facebook Group “Bioactive Reptile and Amphibian Setups USA” where we have some international members who may know alternatives in your area for the time being. We also post updates through this Facebook group and will announce when we can do international shipping once we get the permits to do so. Keep an eye on our Facebook as we will announce when international shipping becomes available!
From Canada? We are excited to announce that we have a Canadian distributor that is available to sell our products! This distributor is carrying most of our basic products and can ship from their facility to your home.

Are the springtails, isopods, and tanks included with kits?
Shipping glass and live animals is tough, especially when not being shipped overnight or freight. To combat this, we include our proprietary BioShot in our kits to help jump-start your essential microbial and bacterial processes. Our kits do not include the tanks, springtails, and isopods, and they must be purchased separately. Luckily, we have most of this available on our website as well! Reach out to us if you need assistance finding anything specific for your build or have further questions.
When will isopods and springtails be back in stock?
Our Cleanup Crews are restocked weekly and are currently limited to take care of our master cultures. You can always sign up for notifications when they’re back in stock! Simply visit the Cleanup Crew page on our website, and you’ll find a green notification option on the side of the screen, which says “HAVE THE DUDE NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE.” Click on it and fill in the required details.

Yes! To make learning about bioactive enclosures easy, we have streamlined the process. Our Customer Care team can always put together a custom order for you with everything you will need to get started. Send them an email at CustomerCare@thebiodude.com and we can do all the shopping for you!
