The Bio Dude is proud to offer Fed Ex and USPS shipping.
Flat Rate Shipping: spend $100-$149.99 $14.95 flat rate. Spend $150 + get $8.95 flat rate. This excludes Alaska, Hawaii and outlying islands. Flat Rate Shipping excludes Free Shipping items like Isopods and Springtails, as they are shipped separately from the rest of your order.
The Bio Dude operates shipping services from Monday to Friday. We do not ship on Federal Holidays. Upon placing your order you will receive an order confirmation and tracking when the order ships. Our current processing time is on the header of the website.
Referral Points and Accrual Points Discount - The Bio Dude is pleased to provide various incentives to encourage customers to transition their animals to a Bioactive setup. The invoice must have a positive balance to take advantage of discounts or to redeem points earned. It is important to note that The Bio Dude will not ship an order with a balance of $0.00, and such orders will automatically be canceled.
Teacher, Military & First Responder Discount* - The Bio Dude takes pride in extending a 10% discount on most Bio Dude products to all members of the armed forces, police, EMTs, teachers and firefighters. If you are not armed forces contact us at customercare@thebiodude.com to obtain your discount code. If you currently serve or have served in the US Military, click the banner to verify your account.

There is a problem with my order:
- Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Items? If your package has incorrect items or contains any shorted products, please submit your claim within 48 hours of delivery to customercare@thebiodude.com
- The Bio Dude is NOT RESPONSIBLE for packages sent to the wrong address as inputted by the client.
- The Bio Dude is NOT RESPONSIBLE for stolen packages. It is up to you to ensure you get your products in a timely manner.
Live Plants:
- The Bio Dude is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DEAD PLANTS when temperatures are below 35F or above 90F. Please order responsibly. Due to year round high temperatures in Houston we ARE NOT ABLE TO SAFELY USE HEAT PACKS.
Live Animals:
- In the event of a DOA, the Bio Dude must be contacted at 717-305-0684 or via customercare@thebiodude.com within 60 minutes after delivery. Claims after this window will be denied. We will ask for photos of the packaging and specimens.
Springtails: This covers all Springtails shipped via FedEx Express.
- In the event of a DOA, the Bio Dude must be notified within 1 hour after arrival. We can be reached at customercare@thebiodude.com
- Claims made after this window will be denied.
- The Bio Dude will require pictures and/or video of the culture.
- Springtails are cultured on clay and sealed in a 8-ounce container. Upon arrival, if no springtails are observed in the culture, The Bio Dude will request you to open the culture for a few minutes, feed the springtails, then reseal the container and wait for approximately 3-5 days. Once all life stages are established within the culture, eggs will hatch after the arrival date, resulting in a new generation of springtails. It's important to note that carbon dioxide can accumulate during transit, which may cause adult springtails to perish.
- If the culture fails to recover within the given time frame, The Bio Dude may offer a full refund at their discretion, provided that all guidelines are adhered to, and the culture is given adequate time to recuperate.
Isopods: This covers all Isopods shipped via FedEx Express.
- In the event of a DOA, the Bio Dude must be notified within 1 hour after arrival. We can be reached at customercare@thebiodude.com
- Claims made after this window will be denied.
- The Bio Dude will require pictures of the carcasses of the deceased Isopods.
- Isopods are shipped in a 3-ounce deli container with moist sphagnum moss.
Product Returns:
- The Bio Dude is unable to accept returns on PVC Kages, substrates, live plants, Solar Grow fixtures and bulbs, UVB fixtures and bulbs, heat bulbs, and Mist King products.
- Defective item return. Customer care must be contacted within 7 days of receiving item. Claims after this window will be denied. The Bio Dude will provide a return label (if applicable) and offer a replacement or refund at the discretion of the Bio Dude. Returned items must be received no later than 14 business days after approval or refund is voided.
- Non-Defective Item return. Customer care must be contacted within 7 days of receiving item. Claims after this window will be denied. The customer is responsible for shipping the product back to The Bio Dude. Upon product arrival and inspection, a credit or full refund will be returned via the payment method used with The Bio Dude. Returned items must be received no later than 14 business days after approval or refund is voided.
Bio Dude Reptile Kages: This covers all PVC enclosures shipped by reptilekages.com specifically built and available exclusively for thebiodude.com
- Each Kage is built after the order is placed. All Kages ship via LTL.
- Once shipped, tracking is provided to client
- Invalid, incorrect, or mis-inputted addresses may incur an extra delivery fee. The Bio Dude Inc. and Reptile Kages will not be held responsible for misdeliveries caused by the above.
- In case of a damaged, broken, or misdelivered Kage, reptilekages.com must be contacted within 24 hours of receiving a shipment. Photos and videos will be requested to ensure the viability of a claim. After the claim is placed with reptilekages.com, Reptile Kages will follow its policies to ensure the correct decision has been made. The Bio Dude, Inc. is not responsible for misdelivered, damaged, or broken Kages.
Taking Bio Dude products into other countries: Attempting to take Bio Dude products from the USA into Mexico, Canada, or any other country is solely at the purchaser's risk. The Bio Dude will not be held responsible for any loss.
