Scientific Name: Correlophus ciliatus
Adult size: 7 to 10 inches long including the tail. Frog Butts (tailless) are 4 to 6 inches.

• Adults between 7 to 10 inches.

Lineage: These captive-bred Crested Geckos have come to us from a trusted outside breeder and have undergone our quarantine process at our facility.

Defining Traits

• Keeper Level: Beginner
• Temperament: Docile but may be jumpy during handling
• Physical Appearance: Crested geckos are medium-sized with broad heads, large expressive eyes, and soft, textured skin. Their most distinctive feature is the row of raised, eyelash-like crests that run from above the eyes down the sides of the head and back. They come in a wide variety of colors and patterns, including shades of brown, tan, cream, yellow, orange, and red, often with stripes, spots, or contrasting markings.

• Native Range: New Caledonia
• Group Housing: Crested Geckos should be housed individually. An experienced keeper may house multiple females or a male with one or more females for breeding purposes. Multiple males should never be kept together. Great care and attention is required if attempting to breed or house multiple together.

Vivarium size and setup

• Front opening 24” x 18”x 36” glass terrarium or larger for adults
• Terra Fauna Bioactive Kit or Advanced Bioactive Terrarium Kit-Crested Gecko
• Tropical plants and sturdy vertical hardscape for climbing - cork tubes are an excellent choice. 

Temperature

• Daily temperatures between 75 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit

Humidity

• Always offer a dish of standing water for hydration
• Ambient humidity should be 45% with spikes to 50-70% throughout the day

Diet

• Provide your Crested Gecko with a powder diet like Pangea or Repashy. 
• We like using our Lizard Ledge to feed them above the ground, which they prefer.  
• Being omnivores, it is recommended to feed gut-loaded insects. A few good choice insects to feed are; Dubia Roaches, Crickets, Mealworms and Horn Worms on occasion (this is due to mealworms being difficult to digest because of their exoskeleton, and hornworms are fatty- these can be used as treats).
