Best for These Animals: Moderate to large sized reptiles and amphibians. Its dense, sturdy growth makes it a great option for larger terrestrial enclosures where additional cover is desired.

Soil Depth: Moderate to deep. Evergreen Giant develops a dense, clumping root system and benefits from adequate substrate depth to establish itself.
Lighting: Medium to high light. This variety can tolerate partial shade but generally develops fuller, stronger growth when provided with brighter lighting. Avoid placing directly underneath intense heat or basking lamps.
Humidity & Misting: Moderate humidity. Keep the soil moderately moist but well-drained. Once established, Evergreen Giant is fairly tolerant of periods of drier soil. Avoid constantly saturated substrate around the crown and roots.
Mature Plant Size & Root System: Can reach approximately 18"-24" tall and spread 18"-24" wide when allowed to fully mature. Evergreen Giant grows in dense upright clumps with long, dark green, grass-like foliage. Its substantial root system makes this plant best suited for larger enclosures with adequate substrate depth.
Temperature Tolerance & Placement in the Terrarium: Best used as a background or corner plant in moderate to large terrestrial enclosures. Its tall, upright foliage can provide excellent visual cover while adding height and texture to the enclosure. Excessive heat directly beneath basking lamps may cause leaf tips to brown.
Edible & Side Effects if Ingested: This plant is intended primarily for ornamental use within the enclosure and should not be intentionally offered as food. Monitor animals that regularly consume vegetation and remove the plant if excessive ingestion occurs.
Pot Size & Packaging: One Liriope Evergreen Giant is shipped in an approximately 6" nursery pot (possibly a 1 gal pot, depending on root size), wrapped in paper for protection during shipping.
Evergreen Giant Liriope is a hardy, grass-like perennial featuring long, dark green foliage that grows in dense, upright clumps. Its larger mature size makes it an excellent choice for adding height, texture and natural cover to spacious bioactive enclosures. Mature plants can also produce attractive flower spikes during their growing season.
