Best for These Animals: Small to medium-sized reptiles and amphibians from tropical, subtropical, and temperate climates. Especially good for tree frogs, emerald tree skinks, and other arboreal (tree-dwelling) species. As the plant matures and develops a stronger woody stem, it can also be utilized with some larger species.

Soil Depth: Moderate to deep soil. Ensure adequate drainage to prevent the root system from remaining overly saturated.
Lighting: Bright indirect light is preferred. Ficus Audrey can adapt to a variety of light levels when provided with appropriate full-spectrum terrarium lighting. Avoid placing directly beneath intense heat or basking lamps, as excessive heat can scorch the leaves.
Humidity & Misting: 40%-100% humidity is suggested for optimal growth, but the plant can tolerate lower humidity under certain circumstances. Good air circulation is recommended, especially in higher-humidity environments.
Mature Plant Size & Root System: Ficus Audrey is a hardy tropical tree that can become very large if not regularly pruned to maintain the desired size and shape. When grown indoors or in an enclosure, pruning can help encourage branching and maintain a compact, tree-like appearance. It develops a wide, fibrous root system with thicker roots forming as the plant matures.
Temperature Tolerance & Placement in the Terrarium: Ideal temperatures are approximately 60-80°F, with warmer temperatures tolerated when adequate humidity is maintained. Excessively high temperatures combined with low humidity may cause leaves to brown or drop. Best used as a back/wall planting or corner placement where it has room to grow vertically.
Edible & Side Effects if Ingested: Ficus are members of the Moraceae family and contain a milky sap. Contact with the sap may cause skin irritation, and ingestion is not recommended. Reptiles and amphibians do not typically consume the leaves.
