Welcome to The Bio Dude!
These plants require solid aeration but high humidity spikes throughout the day. Over watering and stagnant air will quickly kill this plant.
*The plant pictured is not necessarily the plant you will receive, but will be same size and shape. Plants are shipped in nursery pots and may vary slightly in pot size.*
Rex Begonia is available in a few forms. If you have a color choice let us know and we will do our best to accommodate!
Common Name: Rex Begonia
Scientific Name: Begonia rex cv.
These mound-forming plants can get large and bushy with age, with colorful, somewhat-fragile leaves. Beautiful when grown properly! Their very thin, fibrous root systems are shallow, but allow for maximum water absorption with adequate humidity. Some rex begonias can be tuberous, forming a succulent rhizome that creeps along the substrate.
-Care Recommendations By The Dude-

Lighting:
Low to moderate indirect light (or low-level full-spectrum LED/UVB terrarium lighting) preferred; can tolerate high light but colors may bleach.
