A complete bioactive terrarium kit for Asian Forest Scorpions, scientifically grouped together within the genus Heterometrus. These subtropical/tropical species of scorpions are distributed widely along Southeastern Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, India, China, and et cetera. These nocturnal arachnids will create burrows under fallen logs and leaf litter, and prefer highly forested terrariums to feel secure. Compared to other popular scorpion species in the hobby like the Desert Hairy, these guys need higher humidity to thrive. Equipped with an impressive telson (stinger,) these guys pack a rather mild punch if stung, though this varies from person to person! With the Dude’s one of a kind, handcrafted Terra Aranea it will allow you to create that environment that they need perfectly. Not only will the substrate retain all tunnels and burrows that your forest scorpion creates, but it also allows them to do what they like to do as critters. When keeping tarantulas and scorpions in bioactive set ups, many of the instinctual behaviors that make them so unique as animals comes to life in the terrarium such as: ambushing prey, interacting with their environment by tunneling, and exploring their surroundings with seemingly no fear! This kit includes everything that you need to get started going bioactive.
