How to Care for your New Tissue Cultured Plants
Tissue culture plants are grown in vitro from a state of the art laboratory specialized in propagating tissue cultured plants. They provide the best option for those who want to ensure that absolutely zero unwanted pests are introduced into the vivarium or aquarium. Our tissue culture plants are additionally grown without the use of any pesticides or harmful fertilizers, meaning they are perfect for use with animals.
DO NOT OPEN UNTIL READY FOR PLANTING. Remove the tissue culture gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away or soak the plant in dechlorinated water and gently squeeze the gel off with your fingers. Be careful as the plants are very delicate.
If planting in a vivarium or terrarium, ensure you have a consistent humidity of at least 80% and keep your new plants moist as they establish.
Not ready to use your new tissue cultured plants? Simply keep the container 100% closed and put under a standard LED light. Each container of plants can be kept for several months like this if need be, until it outgrows the container. Once the container is opened, it is no longer sterile, and the gel Must be washed off within 48 hours before fungi and bacteria begin to colonize it (because they love it just like the plants!) which can be detrimental to your plants.
