A complete self-cleaning, self-maintaining bioactive kit for Uromastyx. These living dinosaurs are strictly herbivores that inhabit harsh, unforgiving desert environments. With basking temperatures exceeding 120 degrees F with humidity spikes in the morning these lizards have specialized to survive in the harshest of climates. Providing a large enclosure, with deep, dense substrate with plenty of options to thermo regulate is a must for this species. Misting the enclosure daily with providing a large water bowl accommodates these agamids well. Being herbivores Uromastyx are eager to forage and destroy. Providing healthy edibles such as opuntia, hibiscus, mint, oregano, basil, parsley, kale, lettuce and other nutritional greens will readily be picked at when established in your bioactive terrarium. This not only gives your lizard enrichment, but it also provides options in their diet as well. The Sahara will help provide humidty pockets for your Uromastyx to shed and rehydrate while aerating perfectly. Cork flats will readily be utilized as basking spots.
