Included in this kit is:
*All are 4" pot and vary in height and size*
x1 2-3 Bromeliad (established, rooted adults) plant, x1 Philodendron, x 1 Hemigraphis sp plant, x1 Nile Begonia
Neoregelia Bromeliads - These vibrant colored, adult plants have one mother plant with at least 1 or two decent sized offsets. These offsets can be cut and planted epiphytically, or can be planted directly into the substrate. Bromeliads are great for Dart Frogs because in their axils they hold fresh, clean water that gives your Dart Frogs another option when foraging for water and egg/tadpole deposition sites. These beautiful plants also provide some necessary color in your vivarium making your frogs feel right at home.
Philodendron - These beautiful, vining plants grow extremely well in high humidity terrariums and will quickly latch onto any surface. These plants can grow vertically, horizontally and will quickly cover a piece of cork bark or ghost wood. Many dart frogs will utilize Philodendrons broad leaves as egg deposition sites and hiding spots.
Hemigraphis sp - These broad, tall, beautiful purple plants are the one of the larger plants available for Dart Frogs. With a miniature tree appearance these plants grow well in moderate to high humidity and provide thick, dense foliage in your vivarium. This helps establish territories for your frogs as well as hiding places. Due to it's tall nature, pruning may have to be done occasionally as your vivarium progresses.
Nile Begonia - By far the #1 tropical plant seller offered by the Dude, these beautiful, somewhat delicate plants grow very quickly and boast beautiful red and orange edges around its lime colored broad leaves. Growing much like a small shrub, these begonias are covered in tiny hairs, and will flower beautiful, pink/purple flowers often and will consistently reproduce new miniature begonias in clusters. It is imperative this plant is offered well drained soil with moderate light. This begonia's unique requirements make it an excellent candidate for your Poison Dart Frog Terrarium.
